Our approaches

PSYCHODYNAMICS
Psychodynamics believes that our early relationships shape who we are today. It studies the psychological forces that underlie human behaviour, feelings, and emotions and how they might relate to early experience. Digging deeper into our past, the unconscious and the conscious mind.

HUMANISTIC – PERSON CENTRED
Using Carl Rogers Humanistic Person-Centred approach based on the belief that the client is unique, inherently good and can change. Person-centred psychotherapy places the client at the centre of counselling and treated as a person first and foremost.
Our focus is always on the person and what they can do, not their condition or disability. Support is focused on achieving the client’s aspiration, tailored to their needs and unique circumstances. Enabling the individual to build and keep control of their life. Valuing the uniqueness and potential of each person and the belief that we all can adapt and change throughout our lifetime.

HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy involves guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind. It helps manage anxiety, stress, phobias, addictions, insomnia, OCD, eating disorders and chronic pain. This therapeutic approach promotes positive behaviour change, emotional resilience, and overall mental wellbeing in a natural way.
Effective weight loss programmes available, including gastric band hypnotherapy.
Tailored hypnotherapy recordings also available, specifically designed to address each client’s individual needs and concerns.

NLP
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) uses a variety of techniques. It’s a gentle non-intrusive therapy used to treat phobias and trauma, including PTSD. It allows individuals to reprocess distressing memories in a safe, relaxed state, without revisiting full emotional pain. Effective and fast-acting, it helps reduce anxiety and emotional triggers, restoring calm and emotional control.
NLP helps change unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviours by using language to reframe how we think and respond.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapy helping people process traumatic memories. It uses guided eye movements and or tapping to reduce emotional distress and supports healing from PTSD anxiety, and phobias.
